So this is it, My very first blog. Where do you start. I have no idea.
Films why not films i like films. Saw 2 at the weekend. Dig and Dear Wendy.
Dig was a documentry about 2 bands, the Dandy warhols and Brian Jones town massacre. The Warhols you may have heard of the BJM you may not off. I didn't know any thing about the BJM and next to nothing about the Warhols and i still enjoyed it so don't let that put you off. It was filmed over seven years and charts the Warhols rise to fame after signing for a major label and the journy of the BJM and they're insane frontman Anton. This guy is nuts, a musical genius but completly insane. He really has to be seen to beleive it. I came out feeling glad not to be a muscian to be honest. It seems which ever root you try and take the record companies will always fuck with you. But go see it it's good.
Dear wendy is another thing entirly. A film made in the dogme style and written by the godfather of dogme Lars von trier. It starred Jamie Bell and charted his relationship with his gun and the relationships his friends have with theirs.(Yes that's right folks) A group of misfits from a small square of a mining town come together to form the Dandys. A group of armed pacifists.
I can't really explain more and i haven't really sold it but it was a strange film, entertaining but strange. I also have a big problem with Trier and his need to condence all of society's problems into a mircocosum. If you've seen the tosh that is Dogville you might understand a little. Although i know a lot of people who like that film.

That's all for now i'm sure i'll think of some more interesting things to say in the near future as for now i'm gonna watch the second part of Lost.
